Bracken Outdoors Children's Activities
All the activities for children are designed to develop confidence, independence and a passion for the outdoors. My goal is to help children gain practical skills that will give them a lifelong enjoyment of the outdoors.
FOREST SCHOOL SESSIONS:
In these sessions, we build confidence and practical skills through a combination of guided activities with roots in bushcraft and outdoor learning, and child-led play.
These sessions are designed for children aged 5 and over, but younger siblings are welcome to attend. There is no charge for children under the age of 3.
BUSHCRAFT CLUB SESSIONS
For children aged 7 years and over, Bushcraft club sessions are rooted in Bushcraft, traditional crafts and outdoor learning. Typical skills we teach include fire lighting, shelter building, wood carving, natural cordage and a range of other skills for outdoor activities. Our aim is to develop confidence, problem solving and teamwork through practical skills and challenges. These sessions will also develop key scientific, mathematical and communication skills to create lifelong learners.
All sessions are booked in monthly blocks to ensure consistency for leaders and children.
