This workshop will introduce woodcut and linocut, the most widely known forms of relief printmaking.
It is the raised surface that contains the positive image that is printed. The background area or negative space is carved away leaving white or non-printed areas.
This print process allows a variety of mark-making with line through the use of different woodcutting tools and a variety of tonal qualities through the process of multi-block printing.
