11am Welcome and introduction by Rev InMyung
Won Buddhism was founded in Korea in 1916 by Master Sotaesan. Reverend InMyung was a pioneer of Won Buddhism in Australia founding its first temple in Sydney over thirty years ago. She established the centre on the Central Coast in Bensville in 2008. Three reverends, or gyomunim, are in residence and offer a regular meditation and teaching program.
11.10 Classroom Activities with Reverend InMyung
Reverend InMyung has been teaching SRE for over 15 years. She will share some highlights of her regular classroom activities as well as the featured lessons that punctuate the year such as Buddha's Birthday and Year 6 Graduation.
12noon Korean Vegetarian Lunch
1pm Workshop 2 Classroom Management with Helani Sarath Kumara
Helani has taught Buddhist SRE for over 12 years. She has used her experience to launch Metta Minds for Kids a YouTube and Instagram resource of meditations, creative activities and lifestyle practices to create peace and happiness from within.
