This bash is all about bringing paddlers together to enjoy great conditions, build confidence, and have fun on the water. Expect informal coaching throughout each paddle, with tips and feedback offered naturally as opportunities arise. Rather than a structured clinic, this is a chance to paddle with a supportive group, challenge yourself, and refine your skills in real conditions. Help me celebrate the end to my first season!
We will be playing on the flood current, with a nice overlap of higher tides to provide a nice opportunity for surfing the surge wave.
Your registration includes:
-Three nights' accommodation at Discovery Island Lodge
-Informal coaching

-A simple breakfast each morning (yogurt, granola, fresh fruit, and egg bake)
-Hearty, homestyle family-style dinners each evening

Beds are equipped with a flat sheet, and one pillow. Bring whatever bedding you need to be comfortable.

Lodge is heated by two wood stoves, it can be cool in the mornings and while it heats up. We recommend that you have some comforts so you can enjoy the space.
Food & Hydration.
I will be providing coffee and tea as well as milk and milk alternatives. We recommend you bring your own alcoholic/ non alcoholic beverages, as well as any special drinks you may like to have.
Lunches will be a combination of on the water and lodge based. It is a good idea to bring a thermos to take hot water or soup from the lodge.
Breakfast & Dinners will be supplied, family style. Participants are asked to bring their own lunches and any other snacks they may want.
Breakfasts are homestyle: Yogurt, granola, oatmeal, fruit and some sort of egg bake.
Dinners: Chili with rice and salad, pasta with garlic bread and salad, and chicken/ chickpea curry with rice, naan and salad or similar dishes.

Sea worthy kayak (must have static perimeter lines & bulkheads)
Safety Equipment (pump, paddle-float, spare paddle, sponge, tow system or throw line)
Immersion Gear (Drysuit, gloves, neoprene cap (recommended).
Helmet (available if you don’t have one)
Dry-bag with warm layers
Mini repair kit specific to your kayak.
