This is a fun and fascinating chemical effect of creating lava or moonscapes onto bone dry clay using a combination of vinegar and baking soda. Participants will see the sizzling effects on their bone-dry and unfired pieces.
Attendees should bring several bone dry, but unfired vessels upon which to experiment with this technique.
If attendees cannot bring unfired pieces with them, please contact the studio at the time of booking so that a bone dry piece can be provided at an extra charge of £15 per piece, which will include firing the piece to bisque.
