Ever wanted to have a go at some of the things your children rave about when they've done their own Forest School sessions? Join us for a morning of exciting, exhilarating and challenging forest school activities - specifically for you, you amazing grown-up person you!
We'll be creating, crafting, using forest school tools, developing controlled fire-lighting skills, cooking over the fire, making and ... dare I say it ... playing! Plus much, much more.
The ticket includes all resources (anything you make you will, of course, be able to take away with you!) and also includes a hearty lunch, which we'll make and cook over the fire!
FAQ
What should I wear?
We recommend long sleeves and definitely long trousers. Waterproof coats are essential and waterproof over trousers are often a very good idea. Closed toed shoes are a must for Forest School sessions - old trainers, walking boots or wellies are ideal. There is a good chance it will be muddy in places, so please wear older clothes which might get a little dirty...
What happens if it rains?
Some of our best adventures are when it's wet! We have a big tarp shelter we can put up in the woods. If severe weather is forecast (wind speeds of greater than 39mph or lightning) then we may have to cancel. If this is the case, we will do our best to inform by email the evening before.
Toilet facilities?
There are toilets accessible on site, near to the woods.
What activities will be included?
There will be lots of different forest school activities from hammocks and swings, to woodcraft skills, and from natural arts and crafts to forest school tool use - including practicing lighting controlled fires together. Forest School activities are inspired by the season and nature and all can be adapted for levels of experience. As we will be cooking lunch - which is also included, please make sure you inform us of any specific dietary requirements when booking.
Where do we park?
Park in the car park for Lavant House (the entrance next to Lavant Equestrian.) We will meet you in the car park at 10:00 and go through to the woods with you.
