A two hour Contact Improvisation class starting at 13:00 class followed by a jam finishing at 18:00.
This class explores Contact Improvisation through release-based techniques, touch-based communication, and dynamic movement. Rhys guides participants through flowing sequences, partner work, and rhythmic exploration. Emphasising physicality, we will challenge our bodies while cultivating sensitivity, awareness, and deep listening. Through shared weight, momentum, and trust, we will develop responsive movement, attuning to the atmosphere and energy of the group. This class fosters a playful and supportive environment, encouraging dancers to explore creative connection and embodied presence. Open to movers of all levels, come ready to engage, experiment, and move together.
Bio:
Rhys Dennis is a London-based choreographer, dancer, and educator whose movement language blends Hip-Hop and Contemporary Dance. With experience spanning international tours, collaborations with music artists, and interdisciplinary work across theatre, film, photography, and museums, Rhys brings a rich, dynamic perspective to his teaching. His workshops reflect his passion for rhythm, physical exploration, and the power of movement as communication.
