Forest school for Little People.
Practical Info: We run on Friday mornings nr Ruskington/Ewerby, a friendly bunch, there are very few rules, lots of acceptance and lots of freedom to explore. Overstimulated parents - this is your group!
The only rules: follow your child’s lead, meet yours and your child’s needs, play or not - by the fire is a favourite spot, please don’t hurt any living thing or the equipment.
The theory: Forest School provides connection to the same spot in nature, the same time, same place, through all seasons. This builds confidence and a core memory of being in a wild spot in nature that children will take with them into adulthood for lifelong understanding of the world.
Little Bumbles also provides a safe, supported space where the Circle of Security activates, and with a regulated parent, is more able to complete with each interaction, helping to build stronger bonds of attachment.
Please bring warm layered clothing, hats and waterproofs for both/all of you. And drink bottles. Hot drinks are available.
It’s often breezy in the wood but warmer in the carpark so come prepared.
Walk into the wood from the carpark a short walk through The Wilderness to basecamp. On foot turn left into the road and immediately left into the next driveway. Take the footpath on your right into the trees until you see our canopy and fire.
A 1.5% + £0.20 booking fee applies to bookings with a cost.
