NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS - MUST HAVE COMPLETED LEVEL 1
A one-off class to help you improve your cylinder throwing technique
"A well-made cylinder is the basis of a whole family of pottery forms and arguably the most important shape to learn to make. As musicians practise their scales, so potters make cylinders.”
The spotlight of this class will be on how to get more height from your cylinders, centering and throwing techniques, and how to make your pulls more efficient. We can also look at any issues you might have with uneven wall thickness or unlevel rims.
Clay and tools need to be purchased for this course
Level: Beginner Level 2, Beginner Level 3 & Intermediate
Please bring your own apron and an old towel to class. You are also able to hire an apron and towel for a $5 laundering fee.
