MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE BEGINNERS WHEEL THROWING COURSE

During this 8-week Beginners Wheel Throwing and hand Building course, your child will learn how to throw, finish and decorate bowls and cups, and how to create Hand Built pieces that don't involve the pottery wheel.

This is a unique opportunity to experience the 2 main methods of making with clay. At the end of the course they will be able to decorate and glaze their work, making it completely food and dishwasher safe - the perfect opportunity to work with their hands and be rewarded by taking home their own handcrafted pots.

Clay is included in the course cost, and tools are available to use during class.

Course also includes up to 6 pieces to keep - additional pieces may be kept for a fee of $15 per piece.

Instructions

Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty,
Please bring your own apron and an old towel to class. You are also able to hire an apron and towel for a $10 laundering fee - please ask your tutor about hiring these when you arrive.

We recommend:

Clothing that allows freedom of movement
Closed-toe shoes
Tie back long hair
Remove rings and jewellery

Please Note:

We cannot offer make-up classes if you are absent. Your tutor will do their best to catch you up when you return.

All completed work must be collected from The Clay Centre within 6 weeks of receiving your collection email. Work will not be stored after 6 weeks due to space constraints.
