In this 7-week class, you will learn the essential skills of wheel throwing while building a cohesive set of functional dinnerware.
Each week you'll focus on a specific piece, learning how to throw, trim, refine and repeat forms to create a collection that works beautifully together.
The focus will be on repetition and creating a matching dinner set, with lots of tips and tricks along the way!

Clay and tools will need to be purchased for this class. This is in the vicinity of $52 - $55, and should last the 7-week term
Firings are paid separately, this will be explained by your tutor

Please wear comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty,
Please bring your own apron and an old towel to class. You are also able to hire an apron and towel for a $10 laundering fee - please ask your tutor about hiring these when you arrive.

Closed-toe shoes
Tie back long hair
Remove rings and jewellery
Please Note:
We cannot offer make-up classes if you are absent. Your tutor will do their best to catch you up when you return.
All completed work must be collected from The Clay Centre within 6 weeks of receiving your collection email. Work will not be stored after 6 weeks due to space constraints.
A 2.775% + NZ$0.30 booking fee applies to bookings with a cost.
