Drawing on Clay with Susan St Lawrence - Thursday Mornings - T1(A)26 ThM

Using tiles as a canvas, you'll trial a variety of methods, materials and techniques to find the best way for you to create the result you want.

In this 6 week class you will:

· Learn how to make tiles and how to reduce the possibility of warping as they dry.

· Investigate different clay illustration methods, techniques and materials that have worked for others through the ages.

· Experiment with several techniques to see which ones you love and would best work for you.

· Create a set of tiles that you take through to completion.

Susan St Lawrence has a Bachelor of Visual Arts and a Diploma of Ceramic Arts and is a ceramist, bronze caster and tutor known for her narrative sculptural works.

She teaches drawing, creativity and ceramic sculpture and exhibits regularly as one half of the Small Stories duo with Helen Perrett.

Clay and tools will need to be purchased for this class, and glazing/firings will be done by our technicians and will need to be paid on a weigh and pay basis
