Cold Water Dipping – Legal Disclaimer & Participant Agreement

Important – Please Read Carefully

By booking, attending, or participating in any cold water swimming or dipping session organised or facilitated by the host/facilitator, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

1. Voluntary Participation & Personal Responsibility

Participation in cold water swimming/dipping is entirely voluntary. You confirm that you are choosing to take part at your own risk and accept full responsibility for your health, safety, and wellbeing before, during, and after the session.

1. Inherent Risks

You understand that cold water immersion carries inherent risks, including but not limited to cold shock, hypothermia, slips or falls, muscle cramps, dizziness, changes in heart rate or blood pressure, and other physical or psychological responses. These risks cannot be completely eliminated.

1. Medical Responsibility

You confirm that:

You are physically and mentally fit to participate.

You have sought appropriate medical advice if you have any health conditions or concerns.

You will not participate if you have any condition that could be worsened by cold water immersion without prior medical clearance.

If you experience any unusual symptoms before, during, or after the session, you agree to exit the water immediately and seek medical attention.

The session facilitator does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Any guidance offered is for general wellbeing purposes only and should not replace professional medical advice.

1. Duty of Care & Limitation of Liability

While reasonable care is taken to support a safe and respectful environment, the organiser/facilitator accepts no liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage sustained as a result of participation.
