A step-by-step workshop on how to build from clay a seated human figure. With clear and easy to follow instructions, Helen will guide you demonstrating in bite-size stages, so no previous experience is needed. This will be a fun and relaxed opportunity to explore your own creative project using hand-building techniques.
Learn the foundations for a three-dimensional form exploring proportion, anatomy, movement and character to create a unique statuette, perhaps with its own plinth too.
This 3-hour workshop is open to adults (16+) and is a fun activity to share with friends or as an individual. The cost includes instruction and materials.
Finished pieces will be fired and be ready for collection approximately two to three weeks after each workshop.
This pottery workshop provides a great opportunity as a “Taster Session” if you are contemplating joining a class. There is nothing like a full hands-on experience, working within a group of like-minded people, and getting a good feel for the facilities, energy and atmosphere of the studio.
This workshop is led by Helen Ashton.
