Sign-up to weekly Culture Vannin Manx lessons with Ruth Keggin Gell on Tuesday evenings throughout the academic year (September '26 - July '27).
Lessons take place at Station Road Methodist Church in Port Erin, and will begin on Tuesday 1st September. Culture Vannin Manx classes are for adults aged 16+ and mostly align with Isle of Man school term dates.
This is a pre-existing class - new class members are very welcome. Pre-existing class members must book a place- there is no automatic registration roll over from 2025/6.
The class are currently working on material in Keim 2 (Level 2) of Culture Vannin's 'Loayr Gaelg' course. They will resume at around lesson 15 of the course in September. Students should have a good understanding of material in Keim 1 (Level 1), and the first 14 lessons of Keim 2 (Level 2), details of which can be found in the links within “attendee instructions” below.
Please note: while written material is provided via our course books, it is often not the focal point of a lesson, and plenty of interactive speaking and listening work takes place through whole class and paired activities.
Level: Intermediate
Class members will receive a copy of the course book, and should bring this to lessons in case used.
Understanding of Keim 1 and the first 14 lessons of Keim 2 are needed to join this class. Please see links below:
