At 1000 we venture out by footpaths to Marlow Common from the Royal Oak, Bovingdon Green.
Enjoy an illustrated talk on the troops, their camp and their activities before exploring the preserved WW1 practice trenches. Soak up the magic of these beautiful beech woods, then stroll back to the pub for a drink or lunch if you fancy.

Cars can be left at the Royal Oak car park (at owners risk). The Royal Oak has a small car park, so please share cars if possible.
If coming by train we are 1.6 miles from Marlow station, perhaps a 45 minute walk (*Note: the latter part of the walk is over a narrow busy road without footpaths) or 5 minute taxi ride to SL7 2JF.
