Details

Discover a scenic part of the Ridgeway between Chinnor and Bledlow, an area well known to 'Midsomer Murders' fans. Leaving Chinnor station we join the Ridgeway, enjoying views of the Vale of Aylesbury as we walk to the historic village of Bledlow. We explore this lovely village, a regular venue in Midsomer Murders, with the village pub and church appearing frequently. We then visit, courtesy of the Carington Estate, the Lyde Garden, a secluded glade planted with bamboos and ferns where the River Lyde romantically rises. Returning via a footpath parallel to the Chinnor heritage railway, we arrive back at Chinnor station where you will have the chance to relax with a ride on the steam train.
