Marlow - a brief town tour, afternoon tea and try-your-hand at lacemaking (1701)

Wednesday, 1 June '22   2pm – 3:30pm BST
SL7 1NQ
6 spaces available

Details

The walk takes the form of a circuit, starting and finishing at the Two Brewers pub.  It passes many beautiful buildings and brings with it intriguing stories: of lace-making, brewing and a shrivelled mummified hand!  We pass a mansion where gin is distilled in the garage, the home of the original Sandhurst and the former home of a famous female horror-story authoress. Then, the route circles back via the park, the splendid suspension bridge and All Saints parish church before returning back to the pub, to have afternoon tea and a lesson in bobbin lace-making.
