Details

Start & finish top of Old Dashwood Hill, downhill through beech woodland to get to Bottom Wood, then about 2 mile circular walk around this wood then back up hill to cars, 3 miles in total including steep hill. We will be looking at recent woodland management, tree planting and the impact of ash dieback, plus a chalk grassland glade. Historic features include sawpits, strip lynchets, a hollow way and site of an old well.

Instructions

Top end of Old Dashwood Hill near A40 at Studley Green. Between Stokenchurch and West Wycombe. Please do not block the drives to houses.
