Wakefield is at the heart of the world-famous Rhubarb triangle. Fantastic opportunity to visit the annual Festival of Food, Drink & Rhubarb. The festival runs for three days, numerous stalls, cooking demonstrations from TV chefs and street entertainment plus lots more, the best of all it’s free. Several more places to visit in the area; Hepworth Gallery, Pugneys Country Park, Newmillerdam, great Shopping centres. Saturday night in the club for the Rhubarb Social. Thursday night available (Rhubarb Festival starts Friday morning)

Route: From South, A61 (Barnsley-Wakefield Rd), at Sandal, Three Houses pub on your right. Over the brow of hill, Turn right at next set of lights, at Castle pub, Walton Lane.
From North, head out of Wakefield on A61 (Barnsley Rd) The Bridge pub on your left. Go under railway bridge after a mile. Sandal church on left, turn left at lights, Walton Lane.
Once on Walton Lane, in 400 meters turn left in to Sandal Hall Close, WY Sports & Social at end.
