Situated next to Central Park in Scunthorpe, The Pods is the largest sports and fitness facility in North Lincolnshire, and offers a wide range of activities.

The Pods – Get Glowing, Karaoke & Inclusive Street Dance

Join us for a fun-filled summer experience at Axholme North Leisure Centre, designed specifically for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Our exciting programme includes arts and crafts, inclusive music sessions, karaoke, street dance, disability sports and our popular Get Glowing experience.

Get Glowing takes place in a darkened sports hall illuminated by specialist UV lighting and glow-in-the-dark multi-skills equipment. This unique sensory environment allows children and young people to take part in inclusive games and adapted sports while exploring movement, colour and play in a fun and engaging setting.

These fun and inclusive sessions provide children and young people with the opportunity to explore movement, music and self-expression through dance and performance activities in a supportive and welcoming environment. Participants will enjoy inclusive games, singing, karaoke and dance-based activities designed to build confidence, encourage communication and social interaction, and create opportunities for creativity and self-expression while having fun and making new friends.

You can choose to book a morning session, an afternoon session or a full day, depending on your child's needs and interests.

A packed lunch will be provided, with a choice of tuna, cheese, ham or egg sandwiches, along with fruit and a drink. Healthy snacks will also be available throughout the day. Children are welcome to bring their own packed lunch if preferred.
