This is a Beginner Heels course for people who are brand new to the style!
Izzy is going to continue to teach you the nitty gritty of heels technique, including how to properly stand and walk in heels; how to build ankle strength and technique; and how to own your space! And then each week you'll take those new technical skills and put them into empowering, feel-good routines that draw out your inner killer heels dancer!
The most important thing when picking a heel is that your ankle is supported. So we'd usually suggest wearing chunky heeled boots or heels that support/strap around the top of your foot. Equally if you're happier in character/ballroom/New Yorks go for it. And please also bring trainers for the first few weeks as you work on technique and strength.
By the end of the course - having learnt a wide-range of technique and tips and developed your ability to pick up choreography - you'll be armed and ready to join other Heels classes on Mondays and Thursdays!

This is Bristol Grammar School Sports Hall in BS8 (near the triangle) - NOT the BGS Sports Grounds in Failand.

Search Google Maps for 'AE Dance (@ BGS Sports Centre)’
This will take you to Elmdale Rd, with lots of trees along one side.
You need to find a set of stairs leading up through the trees. Look out for the big pyramid on stilts – that’s the entrance (see photo!).
Go up the stairs and enter the Sports Centre. Then turn right and follow the corridor around through the double doors.
Once you’re through the double doors, the dance studio it on your right. It's called the Graveny Room - enter! If you get to the squash courts you’ve gone 5 steps too far!
Just be aware that the outside gates at the bottom of the steps don't open until 6pm, so don't panic if you arrive slightly early and they are locked, you are in the right place! Someone will open them at 6pm.
