A special summer holiday session where our big sisters and brothers are invited to share the adventure.
This adventure is suited to all pre-schoolers who are walking, as well as their parents/carers and siblings who'd also like the chance to play in nature with them too!
The session will be based in our private woodland at Baldersby Park, near Topcliffe and based on Forest School principles. Your adventure will be child-led, allowing everyone to explore, discover, create and play whilst immersed in nature.
Our Early Years Specialist, Catherine will be leading the sessions, assisted by Hannah, Base Camp founder and Group Leader.
Snacks and drinks will be available to all adventurers (big and small!).
We look forward to welcoming you into Baldersby Park and allowing you to uncover the untold natural wonders it has to offer.
We can't wait to welcome you to Base Camp. To keep your child happy and dry in the woods, please clothe them with the following:
All seasons
Clothing: Long-sleeved tops and full-length trousers are required to protect against nettles, scratches, and ticks - tracksuit bottoms or leggings are perfect.
Think like an onion! Multiple thin layers (thermal, fleece, jacket) are better than one big coat.
Footwear:
Waterproof wellies are essential. If it’s really dry, then old trainers will be ok too.
Top Tip: We love dirt! Please send your child in old clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty or snagged.
