Quilted Cloud Bag! - Ages 17 and up - For Confident Beginners

The quilted cloud bag (also known as a puff tote) is stylish, functional, and incredibly fun to make! If you’ve ever wanted to try quilting in a unique way, this project is perfect for you. Not only is it beginner-friendly, but it’s also a great way to use up your scraps and showcase your favorite fabrics.

This project is for a confident beginners. You are able to setup and use a sewing machine, sew a straight or curved line, and have made some basic projects.

Supplies:

• Sewing machine in good working order or email beehiveclasses@gmail.com to borrow one of ours
• (8) 10 inch squares for outer bag
• (8) 9.5 inch squares (can be scraps- you won't see it!)
• (3) 5 inch squares (bottom)
• (3) 4.5 inch squares (can be scraps)
• 1/2 yard lining
• 1.5 yards webbing for handles (2 - 27" pieces)
• Small bag polyfill, 12 oz
• Coordinating or neutral thread

You may bring the following tools or borrow ours:

• Fabric scissors or rotary cutter, mat, and pattern weights
• Removable marking tool
• Small scissors or snips
• Seam ripper
• Pins or clips

Teacher: Deanna Santagata is an Austin native who lives in the Wells Branch area with her husband and 8 year old daughter. She has been teaching secondary social studies from grades 8-12 for the last 13 years. She currently teaches 8th grade US History at Henry Middle School in Cedar Park. CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
