slowrooms: a gentle evening of acupuncture, rest and movement for Black people w/ rambi + ayeḇainemi

bodybased presents: slowrooms - a gentle evening of acupuncture, rest and movement for Black people. Whilst this iteration is for Black participants; future iterations will include People of Colour.

Facilitated by Rambi Marufu of www.intimeandquiet.com and Ayebainemi Ése, the evening invites people to slow down, reconnect with themselves and move between spaces of rest, reflection and embodied exploration at their own pace.

The evening begins with a collective breath and movement circle in the courtyard before unfolding across two studio spaces. Rambi will be offering a community ear-acupuncture clinic in the Research Studio, while Ayebainemi facilitates a rest and movement space upstairs in the Roof Studio.

slowrooms is part of bodybased’s independently produced summer programme, created by Ayebainemi and held at Siobhan Davies Studios.
