🎭 IMPROV CLUB 🔵 SAT 11 JULY at The Cumberland Arms

Detaljer

A playful night of improv where the audience fuels the fun

For improv fans. followers and the improv curious alike, join us for a welcoming and fun night of improv – all made up on the spot and inspired by your ideas.

Improv Club can take on various forms. It all depends on who’s opted in to play on the night. Some players are seasoned improvisers, others are new to the game. All are up for a laugh and we hope you are too!

If you're thinking, "What is improv?"—this is your chance to unravel the mystery! If you’re thinking, “I don’t want to be picked on!” – we don’t do that. It’s not that kind of show. If you're thinking, “I’d like to give that a go’ - you can take part in the ‘Open Jam’ that follows.

Presented by Boho Arts.
Performed by School of Improv Players.
Hosted by Ian McLaughlin & Bev Fox of The Suggestibles.
Inspired by the Audience.
Made in Newcastle.

The Cumberland is a heritage building and only partially accessible. The first-floor venue is accessible via a ramp at the rear. We're sorry the toilets are in the small pub downstairs which don't include wheelchair accessible toilet facilities. Note - it is due to so few accessible venues in Newcastle that we are opening a new venue - the Boho Hub in 2027 that will be accessible.

The venue is an old historic pub. Main access is through the front of the pub, then the snug on the right, and up the stairs at the rear. There is a ramp to the left-hand side of the building providing partial access for wheelchair users, but unfortunately, there are no wheelchair-accessible toilets in the building. The nearest wheelchair-accessible toilet is across the road in Morrisons which is open until 10pm.
