First Aid Training - Plymouth, Devon

Thank you for booking with Certifi Training, we are looking forward to having you on our course.

• PARKING - parking is available at the venue, please drive up to the barrier and it will allow you in. Parking is limited, so please park on the LEFT side of the building. You may be blocked in by other learners, however the venue will coordinate this and will not delay your departure.
  • You must bring a form of Photo ID to your training. This can be a passport, driving licence, government issued biometric card, rail card, Police Warrant Card or Official Work ID.
  • Please arrive in good time for your training (we advise 15 mins before the start time). Late learners will not be accepted and will turned away without refund.
  • Please wear clothing suitable for practical activities (no skirts or high heels).
  • You must attend the entire course, learners who leave early will not be issued a certificate.
  • Covid-19 - due to this being a healthcare course, you are prohibited from attending if you have contracted Covid-19.
  • Practical Elements - in order to pass the course, you will be required to kneel down on the floor (primary survey), be rolled onto your side (recovery position) and perform 2 mins of rescue breaths and chest compressions (CPR). This will all have to be completed unaided.

  • Injuries & Medical Conditions - if you have an injury or medical condition which would prevent you from performing practical activities, this may prevent us from being able to issue you with a qualification, please contact us if concerned.
  • Allergies & Sensitivities - if you have an allergy or sesitivity towards hand santizers or cleaning products, please let your trainer know. Our equipment is latex free.
  • Pregnancy - Please alert your trainer if you are or maybe pregnant. It will not stop you from being able to participate in the course, however your trainer will make a couple of adaptions during recovery position and choking activities.
  • Reading & Writing - you must be able to read and write in English, however this can be supported by your trainer if you have a learning need (such as dyslexia) or English is your 2nd language.
  • Certificates - certificates will be issued to the person who booked your course if you pass the course criteria. Certificates are in PDF format and will be issued within 2 weeks of the course.

Elearning
Certain Courses will be required to complete elearning, which can be done 30 days before or after the training, however it is beneficial if you complete it in advance.
elearning required:

• First Aid at Work (FAW) - blended
• Paediatric First Aid (PFA) - blended

elearning will be from a company called 'elearn here', it will be issued once the course is booked and may end up in your junk folder! Any issues please email hello@certifi.co.uk.

elearning not required:

• Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)
• Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA)
• First Aid at Work Requalifiction (RFAW) - however you will be required to send your valid certificate in advance of the course

Learner Declaration
You will be required to sign the following at the start of your training:
I agree that all the information I have provided to Certifi Training is true, current and up to date. I agree to allow Certifi Training to hold my details as per current GDPR Policies and in line with Certifi Training Privacy Policy and Data Retention Policies (which can be found on www.certifi.co.uk or requested by emailing hello@certifi.co.uk). I agree that all the work and assessments that I complete will be my own and not that of others or plagiarised. I agree that if I become unwell or sustain an injury during the training that I will inform the trainer and agree to treatment. If I sustain an injury or illness during the course this is my own responsibility and I absolve Certifi Training of any liability. I agree that if I am referred, fail or am disqualified from the course that I forfeit any right to refund. I will be respectful to my fellow learners, the trainers, assessors and staff. If I am disruptive to training or assessment or are disrespectful to any learner, staff member, trainer or assessor I will agree without argument to leave the training if directed by Certifi Training Staff and forfeit the right to qualification or refund. I understand that if I am unhappy with the course or assessment outcome, I should initially take my concerns to my trainer/assessor and that if we cannot resolve the issue that I have the right to complain or appeal to hello@certifi.co.uk. Any decisions made by Certifi Training over a complaint or appeal are final. I understand the aim of this training is to aid me help in the event of an emergency, however the treatment of patients is my own responsibility (or that of my organization) and not of Certifi Training. I agree that all information that is discussed within training is to be kept confidential. I agree not to copy or reproduce any of the material used by Certifi Training in their courses or in their other materials (such as their website or marketing materials). COVID-19 – I will agree to follow all COVID Secure Precautions set out by Certifi Training.
