Progressive Mat is a fun, creative Pilates class designed to help you master fundamental exercises while deepening your understanding of how your body moves. The class follows the BASI Block System, a structured and intelligent approach that progressively builds strength, mobility, and body awareness.
A variety of props are used to enhance proprioceptive awareness, support alignment, build strength, and provide either assistance or added challenge when needed. Each session encourages exploration, shared movement, and confidence—expect to feel stronger, gain new insight into your body, and enjoy a few laughs along the way.
Multiple levels are offered throughout the class, with variations provided for each exercise so you can move in a way that best suits your body and goals. This makes Progressive Mat an ideal starting point for those new to Pilates, while still offering depth and challenge for more experienced practitioners.
This is a welcoming, supportive, and empowering class for all bodies and experience levels.
You will need a mat and bring any supports you need

Mat Pilates @ Kingsley School
This term has a longer summer rythym. It is 9 sessions split with a week off on the 18th June. This reflects in the cost. Full term will give you * Priority Mat space * Class at the reduced hourly rate of £9 rather than £12. You are also able to purchase class passes if you do not want to commit to all 9 however you will have to book your space individually onto this class using the "drop in" option.
