Find out about our qualifcations:
-We offer a range of fantastic BTEC qualifications to suit all ages and abilities.
Learners can enrol with us as early as 13 on a BTEC Level 1, progressing to a BTEC Level 2 in Teamwork and Personal Development in the Community.
We recognise that all young people learn differently, which is why we’ve developed our BTECs to be as accessible as possible. The qualifications provide valuable recognition of ‘soft skills’ such as teamwork, resilience and citizenship – potential game-changers whether you’re applying to university, considering an apprenticeship or just looking to add another string to your bow.
-Our ILM level 3 qualification in Leadership and Management is an internationally recognised qualification for line managers, team leaders and supervisors. It offers the perfect development opportunity for new, existing and aspiring managers that lead teams. This qualification is ideal if you have management of, or leadership responsibility for others, but no formal training.
The ILM Level 3 is unit-based and the content will differ according to the combination of units used by each delivery course.
The following units may be included in the qualification:
Solving problems and making decisions
Giving briefings and making presentations
Understanding leadership
Leading and motivating a team effectively
The length of the course will depend upon the Cadet Vocational College delivery partner running the course. It should take approximately 40 hours to deliver the taught content, the independent preparation, study and the writing of the assignments.
As a learner, you are entitled to support from a Cadet Vocational College mentor.
-The City & Guilds Professional Recognition Awards in Leadership and Management (PRAs) are regulated qualifications which represent a vocational route to higher education.
They don’t involve new learning and you won’t have to attend a course. Instead you must show City & Guilds that you have sufficient experience of leadership and management to justify your award.
In addition to gaining a formal qualification, completing a PRA will also entitle you to use the appropriate post-nominal letters for the City and Guilds of London Institute.
Cadet Vocational College offers four levels of Professional Recognition Awards appropriate to different levels of responsibility.
City & Guilds Level 4: Candidates with supervisory experience
City & Guilds Level 5: Candidates with line management experience
City & Guilds Level 6: Candidates with middle or senior management responsibilities
City & Guilds Level 7: Candidates with strategic leadership responsibilities
