Crazywell pool is steeped in Dartmoor myth and legend, despite being one of the largest on the moor, it is hidden from view until you are almost in it. This circular walk will take you to the pool via the beautiful Devonport Leat, an impressive aquaduct and if you are feeling brave the elusive Cramber Tor which on a good day has views to Plymouth Sound and across Burrator Reservoir. Once at Crazywell Pool there will be the opportunity for a dip or swim, depending on what you fancy. The pool itself is 100 meters long so lengths are even a possibility. Once dressed and warmed up we will begin the journey back through the woods and via the stunning Leather Tor Bridge.
Terrain - mixture of open moorland which can be uneven with rocks, grassy tussocks and depending on the time year wet or boggy ground and paths which can at times be uneven.
