In this full-day class, local livestock farmer Bonnie Wideman will guide participants through every step of sheep rearing; from grazing strategies, to breed selection, to lambing, and parasite prevention. Particular focus will be given to the management tools available for organic production. Whether a hobby farmer, a homesteader, a commercial farmer, or an aspiring livestock (wo)man, this course will give you the confidence to start planning for a flock of your own.
