Dulverton Exmoor Literary Festival - Crime Thrillers

The Festival weekend concludes with three top thriller writers. Hannah Richell is the author of international bestsellers including 'The River Home; which she brought to the 2023 Festival. In her latest crime thriller 'One Dark Night', the body of a young woman is discovered in the woods the morning after Halloween. Beautifully real characters are combined with a wonderfully atmospheric setting.

Amy McCulloch is the author of eight novels, including 'Breathless', an international bestseller and Waterstones Thriller of the Month selection. She has climbed two of the world's highest mountains, completed an ultra-marathon in the Sahara Desert, and visited all seven continents. 'Runner 13' is her third thriller, drawing from her ultra-running experience. Lead character Adri trained for pain, heat, and exhaustion - she didn’t train to outrun a killer.

Sarah Pearse lives with her family by the sea in South Devon. 'The Wilds' is her third thriller. After the dark events that scarred her childhood, Kier escaped her hometown to live her life on the road. She had never lost contact with her twin sister until, on a trip to a Portuguese national park, she vanishes without a trace.

Hannah, Amy and Sarah will be in conversation with literary agent Sarah Lutyens. After a career in publishing, Sarah started her eponymous agency with Felicity Rubinstein in 1993. She is a huge crime fiction fan and represents among other writers Mark Billingham and Hannah Richell.
