Vernacular Living Archive: Three Generations of Women

Die Künstlerin Bögdana Kosmina beschäftigt sich mit dem Erhalt des kulturellen Erbes der Ukraine und zeigte im Jahr 2024 in der Ausstellung Landscapes of an Ongoing Past von Urbane Künste Ruhr eine Rekonstruktion der Biotechnosphere des Künstlers Fedir Tetianych. Für ihren Beitrag im ukrainischen Pavillon auf der diesjährigen Architektur Biennale in Venedig nahm sie den von ihrer Großmutter und ihrer Mutter entwickelten Atlas of Ukrainian Traditional Architecture zum Ausgangspunkt. Bei ihrer Arbeit an dem 50 Jahre alten monumentalen Rechercheprojekt wird sie von dem Filmemacher Maxime Faure mit der Kamera begleitet. Sie zeigen erste Ausschnitte aus dem entstehenden Film.

Artist Bögdana Kosmina deals with the history and preservation of Ukraine's cultural heritage and showed a reconstruction of the Biotechnosphere by the artist Fedir Tetianych in the exhibition Landscapes of an Ongoing Past by Urbane Künste Ruhr in 2024. For her contribution in the Ukrainian pavilion at this year's Architecture Biennale in Venice, she is taking the Atlas of Ukrainian Traditional Architecture developed by her grandmother and mother as her starting point. In her research process on the 50-year-old monumental research project she is accompanied by filmmaker Maxime Faure, who will show the first excerpts from the resulting film.
