Join us in Halifax for our next Home Educator Day. These special days are a great opportunity for Home Educator families to visit the museum at a quieter time (we don’t take any school bookings on this day) and to take part in additional activities aimed at those children who would be in Years 1 – 6 were they at school.
This September our theme is Fairtrade
- Meet Fairtrade cocoa farmer Dora Atiiga from Ghana in a unique, interactive storytelling workshop about life as a cocoa farmer and the role of education in her community
- Make with your hands at our mini workshop, making your very own friendship bracelet with beads and learn about the importance of Fairtrade
- Get hands on with our partners at the Co-op, identifying Fairtrade produce and where it is grown, and learning about the journey of cocoa.
Instruktioner
To book on to the Home Educator Day you must have at least one paying child aged 5 years or over.
Bookings will close at 4pm on Tuesday 22nd September (or earlier if capacity is reached).
