A celebration of play, care, and rest with food and workshops in Forgan Arts Centre's gardens.

A Plate of Plork celebrates and shares the work of the Care Makers and Queer Makers Clubs who have been busy making art works for the Gardener's Cottage. Join us to see the unveiling of their work! Throughout the day you can participate in activities including:

  • Tours of the Gardener's Cottage to see the artworks and ongoing-renovation project.
  • Pickle making workshop and tour of the gardens with Fermental Health, a.k.a. artist Sean Roy Parker.
  • Summer Solstice yoga with practitioner Aileen Lynn. 'Garden of the Future' model making.
  • Experimenting with our co-created 'Plork Play Kit' created by Young Care Makers Club, Play Radical, and Pester&Rossi.

This is the finale event for 'Radical Acts of Plork' a project led by artist Ruby Pester which supports unpaid carers and LGBTQIA+ people.
