First Aid Training - Voluntary Sector Support

Be prepared for emergency first aid situations at work. Join us for a full day's training course on emergency first aid.

You will receive an Ofqual Regulated Qualification which lasts 3 years, as well as a manual and certificate.

What does this course cover?
• The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
• Assessing an incident
• Managing an unresponsive casualty
• CPR and defibrillation
• Recovery position
• Choking
• Seizures
• Shock
• Wounds and bleeding
• Minor injuries (cuts, scrapes & bruises; minor burns and scalds)
The course covers both adult and child first aid.

What Qualification will you get?
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) qualification is designed for individuals who wish to act as an emergency first aider in their workplace. Upon successful completion of this qualification, candidates will be equipped with the essential skills needed to give safe, prompt and effective first aid in emergency situations.

We will take a £10 deposit to secure your place on this training course. Your deposit will be refunded if:
• You attend the training course.
• You cancel your place with more than 48 hours notice.

We cannot refund your payment if:
• You cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice.
• You do not show up on the day of the training.

Who can book?
This training is for charities, community groups, and not-for-profit organisations working in the Horsham District.

As there are only 12 places available, bookings are limited to 2 people per organisation to allow as many groups as possible to access the training. If you'd like more people from your organisation to book on, please let us know and we will put you on a list to contact if we still have spaces left nearer the time.
