Understanding Sex, Gender, & Sexuality in the Workplace, Private Session

If you’ve ever wondered, “Why do some individuals use they/ them pronouns?”—this course is for you.

This full-day training is designed for professionals at every level and focuses on practical, accessible ways to foster inclusive and equitable workplaces and communities. Grounded in a human- centred approach, the course creates space to explore questions about sex, gender, and sexuality with curiosity, respect, and
care.

Using discussion-based learning, participants will engage with topics that are often experienced as difficult or “controversial,” prioritizing diverse perspectives and lived experiences. The focus is not on having the perfect language, but on building understanding, confidence, and relational skill when interacting with queerness in professional and everyday contexts.

Participants will leave with practical tools they can apply immediately—both at work and in their personal lives—while strengthening their ability to centre the individual in front of them rather than assumptions, labels, or fear. This course invites participants to examine bias with compassion and to refocus attention on shared humanity, dignity, and belonging.
