Join Kids Adventurist for a special World Ocean Day for home education kids and families on the beach at Saltdean.
With low tide at approximately 12.30pm, we’ll meet at the front of the tunnel on Saltdean Beach at 11am before walking together to a suitable spot for rockpooling, beach exploration and creative coastal activities.
Children will have the chance to explore the shoreline, look for marine life, take part in beach-inspired arts and crafts, and help care for our coast with a simple beach clean along the way.
This is a stay-and-play session, so parents and carers must remain with their children throughout. Kids Adventurist will guide the activities, but children remain the responsibility of their accompanying adult at all times.
This session is best suited to children aged 8+. Younger children are welcome, but parents and carers must take full responsibility for their supervision and safety throughout the session.

Please dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear for walking on the beach and exploring rockpools.
We recommend:
Suitable footwear for walking on rocks / reef and over the rockpools
Weather-appropriate clothing
Sun protection / sun cream / sun hat if needed
Water and snacks
A towel and change of clothes - in case you / they get wet
A small bag or gloves for beach cleaning, if you have them
Curiosity, care and a sense of adventure

You can park in Saltdean Lido Car Park but if you stay longer than two hours you must pay. Don't get caught out.
