Our Life Skills course is designed for dogs that have completed beginner training and are ready to progress their skills further. Building on the foundations established in our beginner classes, this course focuses on developing the behaviours and reliability needed for a well-mannered family companion.
Alongside practical, real-life training, we'll work through the IMDT Partnership Grades, providing clear goals and achievements as you continue your training journey together.
Throughout the course, you'll work on skills such as:

Classes run in 6-week blocks, allowing you and your dog to continue learning and progressing at a pace that suits you. Many owners choose to stay on and work through the grades, developing their dog's skills and confidence over time.
Once you've secured your place, it's yours for as long as you'd like to continue training with us.
Please park in the area outside the hall and keep your dog in the car until the previous group has left the training area. Once the area is clear, you’re welcome to bring your dog and the equipment you need into the training space.
Please bring the following items to class:
🐾 A flat bed or mat for your dog to settle on
🐾 A toy (non-squeaky please)
🐾 Plenty of dog treats
🐾 Your dog’s lead and collar or harness (if your dog has an unpredictable recall, please also bring a lightweight long line)
🐾 Water and a bowl
To help all dogs get the most from their training, we ask that dogs do not interact with each other during class. This encourages them to focus on their owners, develop engagement skills, and learn to remain calm and responsive around distractions.
Please remember to check the WhatsApp group before your lesson in case of any last-minute updates due to unforeseen circumstances.
