Communal studio space.
We’re inviting dance artists to come and work alongside each other in our studios. Low-cost and easy to book, Town Square: Studio offers a fortnightly space for movement practice and creative encounter.
As a shared space, we invite all users to be generous and open to the positive collision of different needs and practices. This is as much a space for working alone, as it is for small groups and those looking to collaborate.
The spaces
The Research Studio is a 12.7m x 6.5m space with white walls and large windows. The capacity for sessions in the Research Studio is 12. The Roof Studios is a 16.5m x 12m space with wooden and white walls, high ceilings and windows. The capacity for sessions in the Roof Studio is 16. Both studios have a sound system that we invite you to use, as agreed between those sharing the space. We are unable to provide additional technical resources such as lighting or projection.
Group Bookings
Group bookings are limited to five, so that a group is not in the majority. Please book a ticket for each person in your group.
Cancellations and Refunds
We want this space to be available to those who are going to use it. If you have booked a place but can no longer make it, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can make your space available to others. Repeatedly booking Town Square Studio and not attending, without letting us know, may result in a warning and then a temporary ban.
We cannot offer refunds for cancelled Town Square Studio bookings, but we can transfer your booking to another date where there is availability.
Tell us what you think
If you have any thoughts on this offer or your experience following a session, we’d love to hear your feedback. Please get in touch. We may also ask you to fill in a short feedback form when you use the space.
