Introduction to Gilding Five Day Intensive

All that glitters here will be gold, real gold! Learn how to apply gold leaf to objects in this five day intensive masterclass taught by Rian Kanduth. Rian is a highly experienced gilding specialist. The small class size means the five day session can be tailored to your needs. You can learn two traditional techniques of gilding on wood, water gilding and/or oil gilding, and learn how to burnish and polish gilded surfaces, and how to tone the gold for an antique effect or to blend with surrounding gilding. You can either bring an object that you would like to gild, or learn the techniques on sample panels. We will be using real gold leaf in this session, and the price of one book of gold leaf is included in the course fee. 

This session runs for five continuous days, Monday to Friday, from 10.00am to 4.00pm each day.
