Detaljer

This 9-week long online summer programme provides a short introduction to ethics in the age of AI, looking at some of the AI-related issues that concern philosophers and the public alike today, and offering an insight in to the current research of academics at the Uehiro Oxford Institute.

Beginning with a general introduction to AI ethics led by Dr Hazem Zohny, the series continues with a different specialist each Wednesday, addressing themes of AI and human relationships, AI human replacement, teaching ethics to machines, privacy, the ethics of smartphones and sustainable AI, finishing with a wrap-up discussion looking back at the topics covered and examining how these concerns connect, where they leave us morally unsettled, and what they imply about the future we’re shaping. We’ll also explore how to think clearly about ethics in the face of radical uncertainty, complexity, and rapid technological change.
