Touch Tour and live Audio Described Parade for blind, visually impaired and additional needs festival attendees, led by VocalEyes.
Join us for the annual illuminated parade to celebrate Redbridge Festival of the Dead, in a grand spectacle of giant puppets and led by The Lantern Company, inspired by El Día de Muertos in Mexico.
The parade includes Las Muertas stilt walkers, This is Mexico! dancers, Mariachi Band and live music from Flash Bang Brass LED band. A braille character list will be shared.
Touch Tour featuring key elements of the parade is at Woodbine Centre, followed by live Audio Description of parade by VocalEyes at nearby Christchurch Green, from a seated accessibility area.
Please note this is an outdoors event and subject to change or cancellation in bad weather.
The earphones supplied are in-ear buds and the parade takes place outdoors.
All ages are welcome, although we recommended 10yrs +
This is an outdoors event, so please dress for the appropriate weather.
Touch tour on the ground floor. The group will travel to the nearby green to the accessible area. We will be static while the parade moves.
