Tall Tree Tales at Newpark Wood

Details

Join Dartmoor storyteller Lisa Schneidau for a woodland walk with a difference. Listen to stories of malevolent oaks, willows that sing and the blessings of the fairy folk as the woods come alive with old folk tales and wildlife wisdom. We’ll be walking through the woodland landscape and listening out for the inspirations of high springtime. You’ll never look at a tree in the same way again!

Suitable for ages 8+. Moderate walking with some uneven ground and stiles. No dogs except assistance dogs.

Lisa Schneidau is a storyteller, folklorist and ecologist. She works with creative storytelling to enable better connection with nature and landscape. Lisa works with the oral storytelling tradition, where traditional and modern stories are remembered, shared and passed on to others. She is the author of four bestselling books of folk tales.
