Starting from Combestone Tor, this guided walk takes you on a energetic circular through the Sandy way track into an remote and atmospheric landscape. We will be crossing open moorland beside the wild expanse of Aune head and its mires keeping to the track and onwards to Ter hill with great views all round. From here we head NE to our first historic location to explore The Henroost and Hooten wheals before embarking to the O brook for some mythical storytelling. Expect rough wet ground in places care may be needed. This is a true moorland experience for walkers who want to discover the quite wild side of Dartmoor and its history , stories and landscapes.
