"Suantraithe II" ~ "Lullabies II" is a four-week, online community song-learning course guided by Irish traditional singer, Amano De Londra Miura.

Lullabies are universal. Remembering our human impulse to soothe and care for each other through song, rhythm and voice is crucial in these times of suffering and uncertainty.

This course invites you to sing lullabies in Irish while delving into the melodies and rhythms of childhood and tender care. If you are called to tend to the children's fire through song, story and language reclamation tá fáilte is fiche romhat ~ you are welcome.

Each week Amano introduces a new lullaby and provides the learning materials needed to continue learning at your own pace. Over the four weeks you will also grow familiar with the major dialects of An Ghaeilge (Irish), explore various musical interpretations and songs, gain new Irish vocabulary and phrases, and connect with like-minded song learns all over the world.

"Suantraithe II" is the fourth series of Amhránaíocht le Amano. This lullaby selection does not overlap with May 2025's Suantraí I pilot course.

English and Irish are the joint teaching languages of the course. All levels of Irish including no prior knowledge are welcome.

This class does not offer advanced technical training in Irish, in singing or in sean-nós.

Live calls occur weekly for 90 minutes at 18:30 UTC+1 on Tuesdays:

Attending live calls is highly recommended. It is preferred that participants can commit to attend 50%+ of scheduled live calls before booking.

Calls are mostly recorded and participants can access recordings for 50 days.
