WEEKEND PRINTMAKING: DRYPOINT with Alexis Neal
Our printmaking courses offer beginners and intermediate students the opportunity to discover the endless possibilities that this medium can offer.
This weekend workshop will focus on drypoint, one of the most direct of all Intaglio techniques. The image is produced through scoring the surface with a sharp needle, creating a burr. Various tools will also allow for the development of expressive mark-making, textured surfaces and depth of tone.
Good experimentation will be encouraged and a variety of printing techniques taught. Monotype and multi-plate printing will be covered to create rich layered prints.
NB: Please see materials list on the website page for what to bring.
