Detection Dog Trials Prelim & Novice level competition held at The Brooklands Pub.
This is a 2 element trial for each level.
All of the competitors for one level will compete before the other level starts. Elements may run side by side, you will have at least 10 minutes between each search.
You may compete on any odour, but please state odour and what else your dog is imprinted on when booking.
You may only enter one dog per level per trial. Any breed may enter a trial, this includes mixed breeds.
For full rules please visit www.detectiondogtrails.com
Please bring your dog's usual reward they normally search for. You may reward in the search area with a toy or food away from the hide. The hide may not be interfered with and food must not be crumbly or dropped on the floor.
No correctional equipment may be worn in a trial. A flat collar is fine, a harness is also fine. Just no training aids. You will need a long line at this venue.
The dogs get very thirsty after the nose work, please bring plenty of water.
Please respect each other's space and assume that someone else’s dog is not dog-friendly, therefore please do not allow your dog to approach them.
