Secondary – Literacy for PE: teaching pupils to speak, read, and write like experts

This course is aimed at PE Practitioners

This is the first in a series of sessions that will run, according to demand, and look specifically at the literacy development needs of PE.

The sessions will:
• Identify subject-related literacy needs
• Look at effective approaches and resources that will help teachers respond to the
literacy demands of science
• Build a supportive literacy development group that will help practitioners to
address pupils’ literacy needs within PE and support colleagues in their
department
