Nerikomi Flower Patterns Workshop

This workshop is perfect for those with some previous experience of Nerikomi, for example, our Nerikomi workshop for beginners.

Nerikomi is a Japanese process of layering different coloured clays and then slicing through to create a pattern.

Nerikomi ceramics are distinct patterned pieces created through the combination of coloured clays. We will be making our own coloured clay by mixing stains directly into porcelain clay. Students will learn how to use stains to create their own coloured clays, and use traditional nerikomi pattern designs.

During this workshop Susana will guide you on using coloured clay to make flower patterns. The way the clays are joined will result in various patterns.

Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 4 weeks.
